This is one to pull at the old heart strings.
This military dad had been working overseas for the past six months.
He left behind his fifteen-year-old son Joshua and his eleven-year-old daughter Jessica.
When it was time to come home, he decided instead of telling them he was coming home, he would surprise them.
Because his son has down syndrome, his children are at separate schools, so he went to surprise Joshua first.
In the video, he stands behind him for a few moments, biding his time and waiting for the perfect moment to make his presence known.
When he's ready to make his move, he asks Joshua if the seat next to him his open.
Joshua's reaction is a mix of confusion, surprise, and pure joy!
He asks "dad?" and then wraps his arms around him in a huge bear hug.
The smile on this kid's face could not be any bigger!
After the hug was over, Joshua introduced his dad to his classmates, and everyone applauded.
Then it was time for dad to go surprise his daughter!
He actually got down on his hands and knees in order to sneak through the cafeteria to where his daughter was having lunch.
He then walked over to her and again asked if the seat was open.
She screamed "daddy!" and jumped into his arms!
This is one heartwarming family reunion you do not want to miss!
