Sony has officially come up with a new answer to the age-old question.
Who ya gonna call when faced with paranormal activity of the scary kind?
Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, that's who!
Sony has released the first trailer for its Ghostbusters remake, which has actually stirred up some controversy due to its all-female cast.
In the following sneak peek, we learn the following about the characters these stars will be playing:
- Wiig plays Erin Gilbert, a particle physicist who works at Columbia and is attempting to legitimize herself as a scientist.
- McCarthy plays her long-time friend, who is pursuing the paranormal world in a very different educational environment.
- McCarthy’s Abby Yates works alongside McKinnon’s, an eccentric engineer who builds all the crazy inventions needed to fight ghosts.
- Jones is on board as Patty Tolan, a lonely MTA worker who spends most of her days reading non-fiction and joins the team because she knows a lot about New York City.
We also get a look below at Chris Hemsworth as the squad's secretary, along with the new version of Ecto-1.
The new Ghostbusters will hit theaters this summer.
